Sen. Bernie Sanders Rallies For Liz Watson At IU Bloomington
Sanders rallied in support of Watson, the importance of voting, healthcare and more during Friday's rally.

BLOOMINGTON, IN — Less than three weeks from the 2018 Midterm Elections, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt) held a rally in support of Liz Watson, the Democratic nominee for Congress in Indiana's 9th congressional district Friday at Indiana University Bloomington. According to several social media posts on Watson's and Sander's Twitter accounts, the two politicians led a large crowd on campus at Dunn Meadow.
According to Twitter user @rubycramer (below) Sander's walked to a polling place 0.6 miles away after the rally, along with a couple hundred fans, students, and a walking jazz band.
Sanders is pushing for voters in Bloomington to cast their ballot in this year's Nov. 6 election in an effort to end the "one-party rule" in Washington. Both Sanders and Watson are also pushing for healthcare, better jobs and education opportunities.

Well, after a rally with Liz Watson in Bloomington, Indiana, @BernieSanders decided he wanted to walk to a polling place 0.6 miles away — he picked up a horde of a couple hundred running, screaming, crying, chanting fans and students, and a walking jazz band. I am sweating. pic.twitter.com/aZPLopszR0
