Taco Bell Hiring Parties Begin Soon Around Indianapolis

Taco Bell says it's piloting a new staffing approach around Indianapolis with 'Hiring Parties' at four locations Saturday.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Need a job? Taco Bell is inviting all community members seeking employment to a special Hiring Party Saturday at four locations around Indianapolis from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Hiring Party locations are 11805 Pendleton Pike in Lawrence, 2646 East Main Street in Plainfield, 153 North State Road 135 in Greenwood, and 3423 West 86th Street in Indianapolis.

According to a release, the company is offering attendees free Nacho Fries and Watermelon Freezes, games and on-the-spot job interviews, in an effort to make the job hunt fun.

  • Employee access to GED (high school diploma equivalent) prep and testing, funded by a partnership with the GED Testing Service in 2015. This anytime, anywhere online learning platform provides more extensive and interactive learning than a GED and takes just months to complete. This benefit is available on the first day of employment and costs nothing for Taco Bell employees.
  • Taco Bell corporate employees, and employees of participating franchisees, will also have access to up to $5,250 per calendar year in tuition assistance, paid up front
  • Live Más Scholarship: In 2015, the Taco Bell Foundation launched the Live Más Scholarship to help creators, dreamers and innovators pursue their passions through education funding and access to real-world opportunities. Since 2015, $5.8 million in scholarships have been awarded to nearly 600 students, including 155 employees, and plans to award $10 million in Live Más Scholarships by 2022
  • Roadtrip Nation Partnership: In 2016, Taco Bell partnered with Roadtrip Nation to capture the stories and career paths of current employees and alumni of Taco Bell. Current and former employees can create profiles on Share Your Road, to see real steps for getting to their goal position; connect with others,and become inspired and empowered through hearing about other people’s paths.
  • Leadership Development Programs: These programs range from one day to six-months with the goal for individuals to become their best personal and professional selves.
  • The programs include sessions on topics such as leadership best practices, personal brands, effective communications, conflict management and developing culture. Attendees learn life-long skills that they can utilize at work and beyond.
