Bed Bugs Found On Man During Gary City Council Meeting
Fire, police personnel remove 2 pews after bed bugs discovered at Gary City Hall during council meeting.

GARY, IN — Bed bugs were found on a man attending City Council Tuesday night. According to The Times, no one attending the meeting received an explanation as to why Gary fire and police crews told those sitting in the first couple pews closest to the chamber doors to relocate, before Gary Fire Chief Paul Bradley and other personnel removed the pews from the building.
The Times said their reporter asked Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson about what happened after the meeting, and she responded, "Bed bugs," adding that a male audience member was "covered in them."
Bed bugs are insects so flat and small they can enter places undetected and spread through small spaces including clothing, furniture and luggage, causing itching and red welts from their bites.
