Salary: $13.00 per hour – part-time

• Job Requirements

• High school education preferred, but not required; related experience or training as a janitor; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to supervisors, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s and to perform these operations using units of measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out cleaning instructions.
• Ability to hand clean equipment and machinery
• Integrity and ability to work independently on tasked cleaning duties
• Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol Screening, Background Check, Voice Stress Analysis and Psychological Examination.

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, and other cleaning tasks as determined by Supervisor)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects
• Notify supervisors of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Cooperate with other staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations maintained within the designated building areas
• Other duties as requested

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to manipulate objects, tools and controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl in the work environment. The employee must be able to communicate with other employees.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may occasionally be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Position will be posted internally only from May 20, 2021 until May 26, 2021. If the position is not filled internally, it will be held open for external applications an additional ten (10) working days. The position will remain posted until filled or no more than ten (10) working days.
