CHESS Academic Advisor Rhonda Nemri has plenty of PNW experience that she looks forward to sharing with her students. She started at PNW as a student worker in the communication and creative arts department in 2008, served as a graduate assistant, and later taught communication as an adjunct instructor.

After earning her MA in communication from PNW, Nemri also worked in downtown Chicago for AXA Assistance as a Senior International Assistance Coordinator for three years.

Some of the best advice she can offer to her students is continue to stay connected to faculty mentors and alumni. She also recommends that students take courses outside of their major, keeping in mind that Gen-Ed’s keep you well-rounded.

Nemri also underscored the importance of reaching out to your advisors.

“Communicate with your advisors as much as you can. Our purpose is to help you achieve and get to your goals. We enjoy hearing about your goals and achievements.”
