30 Pounds Of Marijuana Found During Indiana Traffic Stop
California man is now in the Porter County Jail after traffic stop on I-80 led to the marijuana discovery.

PORTER COUNTY, IN — A California man's Monday afternoon drive in Porter County ended sooner than he probably expected after Indiana State Police officials discovered 30 pounds of marijuana in the man's SUV during a routine traffic stop. ISP said Senior Trooper Anthony Potesta stopped a black 2011 Dodge Durango for speeding on I-80 at 1 p.m. According to police, the driver seemed to be very nervous and an investigation by Trooper Potesta lead to calling a Portage K9 crew to the scene.
According to a release, K9 Nakir alerted authorities to possible illegal substances in the SUV, resulting in officers finding the marijuana in two large duffle bags during a search.
ISP reported Jairo A. De Reuda Martinez, 24, of Chino Hills, Calif., is being charged with dealing marijuana, a felony, and possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. He was taken into custody and sent to the Porter County Jail.
