Indiana Woman Who Killed Boyfriend Sentenced In Husband's Murder
An upcoming documentary calls Kelly Cochran a serial killer and explores claims that she served her husband's remains at a barbecue.

HOBART, IN — A Hobart woman was sentenced to 65 years behind bars Wednesday for killing her husband, just one year after she was sentenced to life in prison without parole for her boyfriend's death. The Chicago Tribune reports 35-year-old Kelly Cochran was sentenced in front of her parents and in-laws inside a Crown Point court room for the February 2016 death of 37-year-old Jason Cochran.
Kelly Cochran's sentencing came just one month after she took a plea deal in her husband's killing, admitting she gave him a fatal overdose of heroin and strangled him, the Tribune reported.
Jason Cochran's parents listened to a statement that was read aloud in the courtroom on their behalf to his wife, stating, "You are a very, very evil person."

Cochran's 65-year sentence will be served consecutive to the life sentence she received last year for the murder of boyfriend Christopher Regan, 53.
Prosecutors in Michigan said Kelly Cochran had an affair with Regan and then conspired with her husband to kill him, according to the Northwest Indiana Times. Cochran then lured Regan to her home for sex, during which her husband shot him. The couple dismembered Regan and dumped his remains in the woods in Michigan, according to court documents.

Some reports claim Regan and her husband weren't Cochran's only victims. A story from Inquisitr.com and an upcoming documentary accuse the Hobart woman of killing nine others.
Investigation Discovery documentary Dead North speculates that Cochran may have murdered as many as nine people and buried their bodies across the Midwest. That's not all, as the documentary looks into claims that Cochran may have barbecued her husband’s remains and served them to her neighbors.
According to a press release from ID network, Kelly Cochran's brother came forward over fears that his sister is a serial killer. As a condition of her plea agreement, Cochran cannot be charged with additional murders in Indiana — but she may be able to give the locations of other victims without any penalty, according to the documentary:
Brought in for interrogations, Kelly finally admits she was a participant in Chris’ murder - she and Jason had a pact to “kill off” anyone involved in their extramarital affairs. While Kelly explains most of Chris’ remains had been dismembered—and her neighbors reveal they were potentially served his remains at a barbecue—she leads (the police chief) to an area where his skull is ultimately located in the desolate Upper Peninsula woods.
Dead North premieres in a two-night event on Monday, May 28 and Tuesday, May 29 from 9 to 11 p.m. Eastern.
During her sentencing Wednesday, Cochran said she knows she'll die in prison, according to the Tribune. "I’ve accepted that fate,” she said.
