Andrew Luck Throws During Colts Minicamp
Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck shares excitement after throwing at minicamp, following more than a year of post-shoulder surgery rehab.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — It finally happened, and there's proof. The Indianapolis Colts say quarterback Andrew Luck threw a (light) football during the early part of the team's three minicamp practices on Tuesday, nearly seven months after being placed on Injured Reserve.
A Tuesday report on the team's website says according to Colts general manager Chris Ballard, "Luck has focused on a much more intense rehab regimen that has seen both an increase in his upper-body strength, as well as a reconfigured throwing base — both of which are expected to help alleviate the stress on his shoulder."

Luck's relief and excitement were evident during a Tuesday press conference.

"It's another step; no bigger, no smaller than any of the other ones," Luck said during the conference. "I am thrilled with how this offseasons gone for me, i'm really, really excited."
Luck last threw a regulation NFL football in October 2017 in hopes of getting out on the field during last season, after having shoulder surgery at the end of the 2016 season. However, pain in Luck's throwing shoulder and the need for a cortisone shot set the scene for the rest of the season, as Jacoby Brissett would continue as the team's starting quarterback.
