House Approves Bill Named After Indianapolis Child
House of Representatives approves the Jordan McLinn and Matthew Bellina Right to Try Act, which was named after a young Indianapolis boy.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — President Donald Trump applauds the House of Representatives for passing S.204, a bill named after a young Hoosier. The White House says the Jordan McLinn and Matthew Bellina Right to Try Act was recently approved by the House, which provides more access to investigational treatments for patients with life-threatening illnesses by amending the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act to create a new, alternative pathway for them.
The bill was named after 9-year-old Jordan McLinn, of Indianapolis, who has worked with his family members and Senator Joe Donnelly to get this bill to advance, WBIW reports. The news report says the act would allow terminally ill patients to begin trying experimental drugs if they've tried all approved treatment options.
