INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- March 8 is International Women's Day. Organizations and groups in the Indianapolis area are holding events to celebrate the annual day celebrating women. Here they are:
2018 International Women's Day Luncheon: Thursday, March 8 from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Woodstock Club, 1301 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis. Registration prices are $28 for members, $35 for guests and group of 10 table reservations for $280 a table.
International Women's Day at IUPUI: Wednesday, March 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at University Library, 755 W Michigan St, Indianapolis. This year's event will feature journalist Rafia Zakaria, author of _The Veil_ and _The Upstairs Wife: An Intimate History of Pakistan; Ania Spyra, a poet and scholar originally from Poland; Missy Dehn Kubitschek, author of _Homesteading_, a new story collection; and Allyson Horton, author of _Quick Fire_, just out from Third World Press. Indianapolis Church for Christ - Press for Progress: Wednesday, March 7 at the church, 755 W Michigan St, Indianapolis. At 6:30 p.m. coffee and fellowship begins, followed by a Global Awareness Presentation by Ashley Brouder and then a Craine House presentation at 8 p.m. More: indychurchofchrist.org
