Indianapolis Local Business Guide: What's Open or Closed
We asked local businesses across the Indianapolis area to update their status and created a handy guide from their responses.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The coronavirus is having a profound impact on the global economy, and has been particularly damaging to local businesses that depend on foot-traffic and in-person interactions with their customers. Even so, many businesses have found ways to stay open and to offer delivery, pick-up and safe-distance transactions to serve the community.
We put a call out to local businesses on Patch this week and asked them to update their status, give details on how you can continue to patronize them and to let the community know how they can best help during these challenging times. You can find the local guide here.
Several local businesses responded to the call out and are asking community members to follow them on Facebook and share the details written in the local guide.

Several of the businesses who responded in the local guide are offering gift certificates for purchase to use when you feel comfortable, and others are offering other convenient ways to support their business, including Four Day Ray Brewing, located at 11671 Lantern Road in Fishers. The brewery and restaurant said guests can pay in advance if they'd prefer, by placing their orders online at fourdayray.com, park in front of the entrance, and staff will bring the order right to your car. "Our full menu in addition to family-style meals, beer, and wine are available for carryout," the brewery wrote.
If you'd like to support local animal shelters, Humane Society for Hamilton County, located at 1721 Pleasant Street, Suite B, in Noblesville, said funds are more critical than ever to help them keep operations flowing and to get needed supplies. Because the local humane society is still accepting the county's lost, stray and unwanted animals, they ask community members to please consider making a donation in support of the animals in their care.
