Indianapolis School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, More

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The first day of school in Indianapolis is August 6 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the dates on your calendar ASAP. The Indianapolis School District has released its 2018-2019 calendars for public schools.

The calendars include important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/6: First Day of Schoool

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/4: Professional Development

October

• 10/8-10/19: Fall Break
• 10/22: Professional Development

November

• 11/6: No School
• 11/21-11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/21: No School
• 12/24-1/4: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/7: Students Return
• 1/22: Professional Development

Febraury

• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/25-3/29: Spring Break

April

• 4/1-4/4: Spring Break
• 4/22-4/26: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/13: Last Student Day
