Indiana Inspector General Lori Torres to investigate recent allegations made against Attorney General Curtis Hill.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — More legislative officials are joining the ranks of those requesting an investigation into allegations made against Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill, while many from both parties are calling on him to resign. WXIN reported Indiana’s Inspector General Lori Torres said officials from the state's Republican and Democratic parties are seeking a formal investigation into allegations that Hill inappropriately touched women during a March party at an Indianapolis bar on the last day of the legislative session.
WXIN reported Torres said her office is prepared to undertake a formal investigation, saying in a statement:
"Both Republican and Democrat legislative leadership have officially requested the Inspector General to investigate the allegations against Attorney General Curtis Hill. Our office will proceed with that investigation and conduct a full and fair review of the facts as it would with any investigation undertaken by the Office of Inspector General."

4 women had courage to report sexual harassment by the AG. Findings of a legislative report are disturbing & show a violation of our zero tolerance sexual harassment policy. I concur w/ Long and Bosma that AG Hill should resign & support an Inspector General investigation.

As lieutenant governor, I fully support @GovHolcomb's statement regarding Attorney General Curtis Hill. Sexual harassment should never be tolerated.

Attorney General Curtis Hill @AGCurtisHill now has the opportunity to respectfully resign his position. Continuing to deny the allegations only shows his disrespect for the victims.

Patch reported Tuesday Hill said he will not resign.
The "March to Support Victims of Curtis Hill" rally will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7 at the Indiana Statehouse. According to the event's Facebook page, it's about showing Hill's victims that supporters stand with them "as women, as Hoosiers, as those who believe that people should not have to worry about being sexual assaulted by those who hold the power."
