Congratulations to State Champion Bears Track & Field Athletes!

The Bears walked away proud and tied for fourth place. Lawrence Central senior, Taylor Herbert secured the state championship in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.03. Taylor also competed in the 4 x 1, where her team placed third. ! Taylor will be continuing her academic and athletic career at the University of Louisville this fall. Kamryn (Kam) Garrett secured the state championship in the high jump, clearing 7 feet on his third attempt. Kam is the current U.S. leader at 7-3. Kam will be continuing his athletic and academic career at Kansas State University this fall.
