TCC employees raise money for Hamilton Co. nonprofits
Employees from Carmel-based TCC walked for 24-hours around the company's HQ to raise money for local nonprofits.

INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 17, 2018) – More than 150 employees from Carmel-based TCC, one of the nation’s largest Verizon Authorized Retailers, participated in the company’s first-ever 24-hour walk to promote health and wellness and raise funds for several Hamilton County nonprofit organizations. TCC employees walked 912 laps, or 228 miles, around its corporate office, raising $1,000 for local nonprofits, including Christel House, Ben’s Ranch, School on Wheels, Dayspring Center, Humane Society for Hamilton County and Coburn Place.
The 24-hour walk was initiated through TCC Gives, a 501(c)3 charitable organization that provides programs, resources and grant opportunities to encourage volunteerism, support charitable initiatives and improve communities.
“It is our mission to give back to the communities in which we do business,” said Scott Moorehead, CEO of Round Room, parent company of TCC. “I’m so proud to see our employees join together to give back to these amazing organizations and see the impact in our own backyard.”

TCC makes ongoing investments in the local communities where it operates through its Culture of Good movement. Earlier this year, the company donated more than 187,000 backpacks with school supplies at TCC and Wireless Zone stores across the country; gave supply packs to more than 5,000 teachers across the U.S.; and provided 3,000 care kits to senior living communities.
Through the TCC Gives “Community Grants” initiative, customers and employees can visit nationwide TCC stores to nominate nonprofits to be selected on a quarterly basis to receive grants up to $10,000. Since launching in 2016, TCC Gives has awarded over $1,000,000 in donations. In addition, the organization’s “More Than A Phone” program provides smartphones and data plans to at-risk members of the communities the company serves who may otherwise have limited means to stay connected to loved ones.
