Where To 'Cheers' In Indianapolis During National Beer Day 2018
Here's what's going on across Indianapolis for National Beer Day 2018:

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- National Beer Day falls on a Saturday this year for its annual April 7 festivities. But do you know why us 21 and older folks celebrate?
Besides it being another day to enjoy a cold one (or two), it will be 85 years since the Cullen-Harrison Act was put into place after being signed into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on March 22, 1933, allowing Americans to legally buy brews again for the first time in over a decade.
Friday, April 6 is known as New Beer's Eve.

Want to do some good Saturday and also celebrate National Beer Day? Head to Washington Park for the park's North Tree Planting event from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 3130 E. 30th St. in Indianapolis. Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. is partnering with Sun King Brewery for the event, which is part of KIBI's 10,000 trees initiative.
If you come volunteer and help plant 102 large-growing, 1” caliper shade trees in the park's northern corner, Sun King will give you (if you're 21 and older) a $5 gift card to the brewery.

According to KIBI, city trees help reduce the effects of urban heat island and storm water runoff, while providing us protection from harmful U/V rays. Register yourself or a group online at kibi.org.
The Tap is also celebrating Saturday as part of Bloomington's Craft Beer Week. However both the Bloomington and Indianapolis locations are participating in the April 3 through April 13 event.
Head to Upland’s 7th annual Sour Wild Funk Fest Saturday at Mavris Arts & Events Center, 121 S. East Street in Indianapolis where 150 beers from 50 breweries will be present.
If you're looking for something else, visit The Beer Garden at Newfields, which opened on April 1.
