1 Dead After Plane Lands 'Nose-First' At Porter County Airport
Report said crash happened between runways at airport.

VALPARAISO — One person is dead following a plane crash Thursday morning at the Porter County Regional Airport in Valparaiso, according to officials. The Times said a single-passenger plane crashed nose-first into a grassy area between two runways around 10:45 a.m.
The crash scene is north of U.S. 30 and east of Ind. 49.
The Times said assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been requested.

This fatal crash comes just two weeks after the pilot of a small plane was killed in a crash at Marion Municipal Airport Nov. 29.
