Classes at Liberty Christian School in Anderson are cancelled due to flu outbreak: Report

ANDERSON, IN — Associated Press reports an Anderson school has canceled classes for the rest of the week because of a flu outbreak. According to AP news, Liberty Christian School in Anderson says it’s cancelling middle and high school classes Thursday and Friday due to nearly half of teachers and one in five students being sick. AP News reports School Superintendent Dr. Jay McCurry says in a message to parents and guardians that pre-K through 6th grade classes will remain on a normal school schedule.

AP News says the weekly Indiana flu report from the Indiana State Department of Health listed three other school-wide flu outbreaks as of Feb. 9.
