Dwight Freeney Will Retire As An Indianapolis Colt, Team Says

Dwight Freeney is retiring after 16 seasons in the NFL, as the Indianapolis Colts say he'll retire as a Colt: Report

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts announce Dwight Freeney, the team's former defensive end great, will retire from the NFL as a member of the Colts. Freeney is retiring almost 16 years after the Indianapolis Colts made him the 11th pick on April 20 during the 2002 NFL draft.

Freeney spent his 16-season career with six different teams and became one of the best pass rushers in the league.

The Indianapolis Colts say Freeney is tied with Terrell Suggs as the 17th best all-time NFL sack number, 125.5, 107.5 as a Colt.
