GOP IN Senate Candidate Braun Drops Immigration Ad After Backlash
Indiana Senate candidate, Republican Mike Braun, cancels immigration ad with images of Colts player and Uber driver following outcry: Report

ANGOLA, IN — After recent backlash, AP News reports a U.S. Senate candidate from Indiana is discontinuing a TV ad featuring Uber driver Jeffrey Monroe and Indianapolis Colts player Edwin Jackson who were killed in a suspected drunken-driving crash last month by a person in the country illegally.
AP News says Republican Mike Braun told The (Angola) Herald Republican on Saturday he didn’t expect the negative reaction the ad received.
Deb Monroe, widow to Monroe, recently told the Associated Press that the ad “devastated” her family, calling on Braun to take it down, with reports his campaign wouldn't return her call.
