Hamilton Co. Officials Approve Funds For Gov. Center Expansion
Hamilton County council members approve funding for much-needed government center expansion: Details

NOBLESVILLE, IN -- Hamilton County council members have voted to advance the plans to expand their government and judicial building Noblesville. In order to address a space issue at the Hamilton County Government Government and Judicial Center, =Indianapolis Business Journal says the county council unanimously approved an ordinance Wednesday night during the second of two public hearings on expansion plans. According to IBJ, the county is approved to issue a $12 million "general obligation" bond to fund the nearly $24 million project.
They're also using the county's general fund for the rest of the project's financing (around $10.6) and the cumulative courthouse fund (just over $1 million).
Expansion plans include a three-story addition to the west side of the facility in an effort to relocate several offices currently inside the courthouse and to give more space to the growing court system, IBJ reports.
