Airports Council International, passengers name Indianapolis International Airport Best Airport in North America for 6th year in a row.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) has been named Best Airport in North America for the 6th year in a row. In a release Tuesday Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez said the airport has received the Airports Council International World’s 2017 Airport Service Quality Award, which names IND the Best Airport in North America for airports serving more than 2 million passengers per year. In addition, Indianapolis was named the Best Airport by Size and Region, representing North American with five to 15 million passengers.
According to a release, Rodriquez and the airport campus' staff of more than 10,000 employees were selected by travelers to receive the award, having received an average staff-courtesy rating of 4.5 on a 5-point scale.
The ASQ awards were determined based on feedback from passengers that's collected by the ACI program on the day a passenger travels, as each airport is rated based on 34 key performance indicators. The release says ACI representatives hand out more than 600,000 surveys in 41 languages across 84 countries annually.
