An Indianapolis Catholic priest is charged with several counts including kidnapping over accusations he attacked his wife: Report

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — AP News reports An Indianapolis Catholic priest, charged with several counts including criminal confinement, is accused of attacking his wife and holding her against her will. According to AP News, officials claim the Rev. Luke Reese, an associate pastor at Holy Rosary Church, locked his wife inside his car last September after he found her with another man. Prosecutors say the 49-year-old slapped her and later slammed her against the wall of the church, before driving her to northeastern Indiana, AP News reports.
Reese's wife told officers he wanted her to tell relatives "what she had done by talking to another man."
AP News says Reese's charges also include kidnapping and domestic battery, among others.

The former Anglican priest has been on a leave of absence since September. AP News adds that he was ordained a Catholic priest in Texas in 2016.
