ACROSS INDIANA -- Indiana State Police officials and team members are remembering their retired K9 Mojo, who they said died Feb. 9. ISP says Mojo was 13 years old, and served alongside partner Sgt. Dennis Wade for more than 11 years.
ISP says Mojo played "a key role" for more than a decade helping ISP officers and officials from dozens of other agencies, and he and his partner helped make our communities safer.
According to a release from ISP, Mojo graduated from K9 School on Christmas Eve in 2006 and was assigned to the state police Drug Enforcement Section, patrolling the Indianapolis metropolitan area. ISP adds that Mojo helped with different police investigations as he was trained as a duel purpose dog.
