City Of South Bend Announces Traffic Alerts Starting May 10

The City of South Bend Department of Public Works announces the following traffic alerts beginning Monday, May 10, weather permitting.

North Shore Drive
Beginning Monday, May 10, North Shore Drive from Parkovash Avenue to Iroquois Street will be closed for riverbank stabilization work. Detour routes will be Michigan Street or Angela Boulevard. The street is expected to reopen Thursday, June 24, weather permitting.

Northside Boulevard
On Tuesday, May 11, Northside Boulevard will be closed at Clover Street for the replacement of a throttle pipe in the combined sewer overflow manhole at this location. Detour routes will be Beyer and 20th streets via Mishawaka Avenue. The street is expected to reopen Friday, May 28, weather permitting.

Riverside Drive
Also on Tuesday, May 11, Riverside Drive from Hudson Avenue to California Street will be closed to clean sanitary sewer and storm lines. Detour routes will be California Street and Hudson Avenue via Portage Avenue. The closure will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Thursday, May 13, weather permitting.
