Landlords are required, by ordinance, to annually register residential and/or multi-unit rental properties which they do not personally occupy. The purpose of the Landlord Registration is to compile up-to-date information about the rental properties in the City of South Bend.

“Ensuring that we have the latest information on rental properties in the City helps Code Enforcement better communicate with landlords,” said Head of Neighborhoods Pam Meyer. “I encourage all landlords to make sure they’re registered annually.””
