Monday: Traffic Restrictions Scheduled For Western Ave

The City of South Bend Department of Public Works announces the following traffic restrictions for Western Avenue as part of the Western Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project:

Monday, October 28 from noon to 3:00 p.m.
Western Avenue from Dundee Street to Falcon Street will close at noon for the hauling and unloading of an AT&T structure. Detour routes will be Sheridan and Olive Streets via Sample Street. Westbound traffic on Western Avenue is expected to reopen at 3:00 p.m.

Wednesday, October 30 from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Weather permitting)
Western Avenue from Dundee Street to Falcon Street will close at 6:00 a.m. for crews to place concrete pavement. Detour routes will be Sheridan and Olive Streets via Sample Street. The anticipated reopening time for westbound traffic is 7:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Eastbound traffic on Western Avenue continues to be detoured during construction until the Western Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project is complete in mid-November.
