Notre Dame Student Hospitalized After Falling On Campus
The university also announced Monday the campus will close Tuesday night due to severe weather.

NOTRE DAME, IN — A University of Notre Dame student is in critical condition after falling Sunday morning on stairwell at a men's residence hall on campus, university officials said, according to WNDU. According to the news outlet, officials said the 18-year-old male suffered a head injury from the fall in Sorin Hall. The Notre Dame Fire Department was called to the scene at 2 a.m. Sunday, and the South Bend Fire Department took the student to Memorial Hospital, WNDU said.
Notre Dame police are investigating the cause of the student's fall, and Patch will update this story as new information becomes available.
The university also announced Monday they'll be closing at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 and will reopen at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 due to severe weather.

However, the university added that student dining halls will remain open with extended hours, lower levels of the Hesburgh Library will remain open for 24 hours a day, in addition to LaFortune Student Center. Food vendors at the library and center will be closed, the university said in a release.
