Traffic Closures Beginning Saturday In South Bend

The City of South Bend Department of Public Works announces the following traffic alerts beginning Saturday, November 2:

Linden Avenue
Beginning Saturday, November 2, Linden Avenue from Westwood Lane to Lombardy Drive will close to adjust manhole castings in the roadway. The anticipated reopening date is Sunday, November 3, weather permitting.

Western Avenue
Beginning Monday, November 4, Western Avenue from Dundee Street to Falcon Street will close at 6:00 a.m. for crews to place concrete pavement. Detour routes will be Sheridan and Olive Streets via Sample Street. The anticipated reopening time for westbound traffic is 7:00 p.m., weather permitting. Eastbound traffic on Western Avenue continues to be detoured during construction until the Western Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project is complete in mid-November.
