Man Fatally Shoots His 2 Children, Himself: Boone County Sheriff
The Boone County Sheriff's Department found the bodies of a father and his two children during a Friday morning welfare check.

BOONE COUNTY, IN — The Boone County Sheriff's Office said they're investigating what they believe is a double murder-suicide involving a father and his two children at a home on County Road 900 East. The sheriff's office said during a Friday morning welfare check at the Boone County home, deputies found the body of 50-year-old Michael Hunn, dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and the bodies of his 15-year-old Son, Harrison Hunn, and 13-year-old Daughter, Shelby Hunn, both dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
The sheriff's office said deputies responded to a 911 call Friday morning from a concerned mother who said she hadn't made contact with her two children since late Thursday night, and said Zionsville Schools contacted her just after 9:30 a.m. as the kids didn't show up for school Friday morning.
The woman told deputies she tried calling her kids and their father several times before she drove to the father's home. The sheriff's office said when no one answered the door, she called 911 around 10:35 a.m. to have deputies conduct a welfare check.
