Boone County Sheriff's Office officials and Town of Zionsville share details and closings for Deputy Jacob Pickett's funeral procession: Map

ZIONSVILLE, IN -- The funeral for Boone County Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Pickett is Friday, March 9, with a procession route that travels through Zionsville. The Boone County Sheriff's Office has provided information on the procession route that begins in Brownsburg at 2 p.m. Officials say those traveling should note that traffic along the entire route will be restricted for a significant amount of time and can expect long delays as early as 3 p.m., particularly in the areas of West Oak Street, First Street, Sycamore Street and US 421, and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office says this will have a significant impact on rush hour traffic and advises travelers to please be flexible and plan your route home accordingly, or please plan an alternate route ahead of time.
Because of this, Zionsville public safety officials have recommended early dismissal on Friday, March 9 for Zionsville Community Schools. The schools will release information regarding early dismissal schedules.
