Hometown Insurance Employee Receives Award

West Bend honors its agents and the nonprofit organizations they support

West Bend Mutual Insurance Company recently presented its Spirit of the Silver Lining Award to Brian Hosking, President of Hometown Insurance. The award honors West Bend agents and the nonprofit organizations they support for their dedication to delivering a silver lining to those in need.

Hosking was presented the Spirit of the Silver Lining Award for his involvement with Sunshine Social Club, whose mission is to empower adults with intellectual disabilities to achieve supported or independent living by creating social, educational and community opportunities. Hosking currently serves as the organization’s president and his wife, Kelly, serves as the secretary. Brian and Kelly’s son, who is autistic, drives their passion for this organization. Additionally, as part of the Spirit of the Silver Lining Award, West Bend donated a $10,000 grant to the organization.

"We are thrilled to shed light on the Sunshine Social Club and grateful to receive this generous grant from West Bend,” said Hosking. “This grant will allow Sunshine Social Club to continue providing adults with intellectual disabilities more social, educational and community opportunities.”
