The year 2020 has tested and challenged us and the winter months may test us further. We must stay the course. Just a few weeks ago, it was announced that Indiana ranks second in the nation for COVID-19 hospitalizations per capita.

Tom Ryan, Boone County Health Department emergency preparedness coordinator, said Boone County has seen unprecedented numbers of new COVID-19 cases in recent weeks.We can see the light at the end of the tunnel with health care providers and those on the front line receiving the vaccine but being very careful this week and the months ahead is crucial.
As cases, hospitalizations and deaths continue to rise, the safest way to celebrate the winter holidays is to celebrate at home with those you live with. There is nothing I love more than gathering with friends and family during the holidays. We just can’t do that this year. Continue to limit interactions and wear masks when around others outside our bubble.
