Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana lands a $1 million grant to serve HIV patients: Report

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Thanks to a $1 million state grant, Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana will soon begin delivering healthy meals to people with HIV, AP News reports. The Indianapolis-based group that brings meals to homebound senior citizens will use the grant to deliver medically-tailored food to low-income residents with HIV in local counties with large populations of people infected with the virus, according to AP News.
AP News reports that Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana will partner with other local service providers to deliver the meals that will be prepared under the direction of a physician in order to meet specific nutritional needs.
