49 Story County Gun Permits Issued in August

Permits to carry weapons were issued to 49 people in Story County in August. Five of the permits went to professionals and 44 went to non professionals. Three permits were duplicates.
In Iowa, state permits are necessary to purchase and carry handguns. No permits are required to purchase or carry rifles or shotguns.
