Bloomington Road Improvements Begin Monday In Ames

The two north (westbound) lanes of Bloomington Road from Grand to Hoover avenues will be closed beginning Monday, April 12.

The two north (westbound) lanes of Bloomington Road from Grand to Hoover avenues will be closed beginning Monday, April 12, for pavement improvements. Westbound traffic on Bloomington Road will be shifted to single-lane traffic in both directions on the two south (eastbound) lanes. Access to Roy Key Avenue north of Bloomington Road will also be closed.

The City of Ames has contracted with Manatts to complete this project, which includes milling and overlaying the westbound lanes of Bloomington Road. The project is expected to be complete in four to five weeks.

All are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area, please use alternative routes if available, and allow extra travel time as delays will occur. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling through the construction area.
