Burnett Avenue Closure Starts Sept. 30

Burnett Avenue will be closed from Seventh Street to approximately 70 feet south beginning the week of Sept. 30. This closure is necessary for the completion of water and sewer connections for the new Fareway store currently under construction. Weather permitting, the closure is expected to continue for four days.

During this time, the sidewalk at the southwest corner of the intersection of Burnett Avenue and Seventh Street will also be closed. All driveways and the Post Office drop-off will remain open and accessible from Sixth Street.

All are encouraged to take note of the road closure and allow extra travel time as delays may occur. Exercise caution when traveling near the construction area. For safety reasons, please keep children and pets away from the construction zone.
