Christmas Tree Recycling Available To Ames Residents
The City of Ames will provide free disposal of Christmas trees at the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Building.
The City of Ames will provide free disposal of Christmas trees at the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Building, 700 E. 13th St. Residents may drop off the trees during daylight hours now through the end of January. The Christmas trees will be recycled into mulch, which will be used in City of Ames parks and is available to residents at no charge.
The Parks and Recreation Maintenance Building will be marked with a sign. Please remove the tree stand, tinsel, and all ornaments prior to drop off.

The Parks and Recreation Department manages 38 parks and offers approximately 180 athletic, aquatic, instructional and wellness programs. Indoor programs are offered year-round at the Community Center, Ames/ISU Ice Arena, and Municipal Pool.
