The City of Ames has contracted with Manatts Inc. to complete these improvements. The first phase of the project will begin with pavement removal on Monday. On Tuesday, June 29, Manatts’ subcontractor Jet Drain will start repair of selected sanitary sewer pipes and replace a manhole and storm sewer intake. Once underground utilities are complete, Manatts will prepare the ground for paving operations. A new asphalt road and concrete driveways will be installed at the end of this phase, which is expected to take four to five weeks to complete.
All are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area and allow extra travel time as delays may occur. For safety reasons, please keep children and pets away from the construction zone.
