Golden Wok Replaced by Owl Bar, Dinky Eatery
Dinky Diner and Blue Owl Bar will take up residence in the former Golden Wok in Campustown.

A new night spot and an eatery will replace the The Golden Wok in Campustown.
Charlie Yoke's owners are working on opening a new bar called Blue Owl Bar in the two-story location and opened a new restaurant, Dinky Diner, that will serve breakfast each morning (and during early mornings after bars close on weekends) in the other section of the building.
The owners told the Iowa State Daily that they hope to create a more relaxed atmosphere in the new space as a contrast to Charlie Yoke's lively spirit.

The Blue Owl Bar's name comes from an early 1900s social club called the Mysterious Order of the Night Owls or Mono Clan, according to the Daily.
