Hickory Park's Salted Nut Roll Best Ice Cream in U.S., Food Network Says

Any hot day this week, might be a good one to stop by Hickory Park and try one of the best ice cream treats in the United States.

Food Network Magazine named the restaurant's salted nut roll sundae to the list of “50 States, 50 Ice Cream Treats”

"Every summer we eat our way across the country looking for the best foods for our "50 States" feature, and after tackling hamburgers, pizza, sandwiches and breakfast, we thought it was high time to cover ice cream," said Maile Carpenter, editor in chief, Food Network Magazine. "We worked with food writers in every state to track down the best of the best."

Tiffany Wilkinson a manager at the BBQ smokehouse said the Salted Nut Roll sundae, a vanilla ice cream sundae topped with caramel and marshmallow cream was just the flavor that the food writer happened to order when he stopped in.

Customers could find near 50 ice cream sundae varieties at the restaurant's fountain and several of Hickory Park's concoctions have been noted in magazines across the country, Wilkinson said.
