Ames Parks and Recreation Department announced today that Homewood Golf Course, a public nine-hole course located at 20th Street and Duff Avenue, will begin renting golf carts on Monday, June 8. Carts will be limited to one person per cart unless golfers share the same address. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Homewood Golf Course delayed opening for the season until May 1 and limited services offered. The Parks and Recreation Department has looked to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH), World Health Organization (WHO), and Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds regarding best practices in containing the virus.
