Iowa State Student Killed in Iowa State Game Traffic

An Iowa State University student and Pleasant Hill man was killed about 11 p.m. Thursday when he ran out in front of traffic.

Austin William Wonderlich, 23, reportedly ran from the center median on Highway 30 near University Boulevard and into the path of a Dodge Stratus driven by a Webster City man, according to a report from the Iowa State Patrol.

The accident happened just about an hour after the Iowa State, Texas game ended at Jack Trice Stadium.

Wonderlich was listed as a senior majoring in agricultural studies, according to a report in the Des Moines Register.
