Jensen Avenue Closed Beginning Monday In Ames

This closure is necessary to allow construction of improvements to the road.

Jensen Avenue will be closed to traffic north of 24th Street to just north of 25th Street beginning Monday, May 17, weather permitting. This closure is necessary to allow construction of improvements to the road.

The City of Ames has contracted with Manatts Inc., and its subcontractor, Precision Pipe and Grading, to complete these improvements. Work on the first stage of the project will include installation of a new water main, replacement of sanitary sewer manhole, and storm sewer intakes. Completion of this stage of the project is expected to take two weeks and will be followed by the next stage of the project.

All are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area and allow extra travel time as delays may occur. For safety reasons, please keep children and pets away from the construction zone.
