Lifetree Cafe: "Border Wars: Is There a Compassionate Response to Illegal Immigration?"
The debate over national policies & practices on illegal immigration will be explored at Lifetree Café on 611 Clark Ave, Thursday @ 7-8 PM.

The program—titled “Border Wars: Is There a Compassionate Response to Illegal Immigration?”—features filmed interviews with a border patrol agent, Mexican nationals, and former U.S. Representative Tom Tancredo, an outspoken critic of immigration policy.
“Immigration is happening all over, but it is problematic in some areas because there is immigration—both legal and illegal—of people who don’t want to assimilate into the U.S.” Tancredo says. “Many have no desire to become Americans when they come here.”
During the program, participants will examine various sides of the issue and be given an opportunity to share their own perspectives.
