Lifetree Cafe: "Living Online: Provocative Thoughts From the Author of ‘Is Google Making Us Stupid?"

The consequences of living online will be explored at Lifetree Café on 611 Clark Ave, Thursday @ 7-8 PM

The program—titled “Living Online: Provocative Thoughts From the Author of ‘Is Google Making Us Stupid?’”—features a filmed interview with Nick Carr, a 2011 Pulitzer finalist who frequently writes about technology and culture.

“This is a very strange moment in history,” Carr says. “People are socializing, looking at media, and being distracted from the moment they wake up to the moment they go to bed. I don’t think we fully know yet what the consequences of this shift will be.”

During the program, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the positive and negative impacts technology has had in their own lives and relationships.
