Lincoln Way And Beach Sidewalk Ramp Reconstruction Begins Monday In Ames

All are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area and allow extra travel time as delays may occur.

Sidewalk ramp reconstruction at Lincoln Way and Beach Avenue will begin Monday, May 17, weather permitting. To expedite completion of the ramp work, there will be no pedestrian access at all four corners of the intersection during the reconstruction. In addition, northbound traffic on Beach Avenue approaching the Lincoln Way intersection will be reduced to a single lane.

The City has contracted with Van Maanen Electric and its subcontractor, Pillar Inc., to complete the sidewalk ramp reconstruction, which is expected to take two to three weeks, weather dependent.
