Ames Professional Firefighters “Cares Enough to Wear Pink” is seeking women who are fighting cancer and might benefit from a visit from a Pink Heals fire truck tour scheduled to swing through Ames July 10.
The National Pink Heals Tour/Guardians of the Ribbon will spend that morning making home or office visits in Ames and end the day with a rally from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot on S. Duff Avenue.

The evening includes participation from fire, EMS and law enforcement agencies along with the William R. Bliss Cancer Center and a visit from Pink Heals Founder Dave Graybill.
The Pink Heals tour began in 2007 to help people battling cancer with a focus on women, according to a release. Ames Professional Firefighters mirrored the charity with its own “Cares Enough to Wear Pink” campaign.
