Police on Fourth of July Patrol
Police will be looking for drunk drivers and more all Fourth of July weekend.

While everyone else, well almost everyone else, is out celebrating Fourth of the July and relaxing with extra time off, Ames Police officers will conduct extra patrols looking for drunk, seatbelt-less and speeding drivers.
The department will be stepping up traffic enforcement during the Fourth of July holiday looking specifically for any drivers who are operating under the influence, according to a release from the Ames Police Department.
