Following the utility relocation, reconstruction of 13th Street between Wilson and Duff avenues will begin. The City of Ames has contracted with Con-Struct and their subcontractor Keller Excavating to complete the reconstruction project, which is anticipated to take four to five months. At all times, one lane of 13th Street in each direction will remain open to traffic. However, access to side streets will be restricted for safety reasons and to ease potential congestion of the construction zone.

All are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area and allow extra travel time as delays will occur. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling through the construction area.
